Consider fostering! CNR provides everything you need, you provide the loving home. And if you fall in love fosters are first in the adoption line.

About Me.

Obie has come a long way from the hard start he endured before making his way to Colonial Newfoundland Rescue. Thanks to loving care, good food, and a soft place to land, he’s healthier every day and finally ready to meet his forever family!

The Fun Stuff

  • Snack connoisseur: Beef lung tips are his absolute favorite.

  • Dining alfresco: Obie is the perfect gentleman at an outdoor café table—as long as there are scones.

  • Couch-Critic: He takes couching very seriously and is always up for a snuggle

  • Preferred lifestyle: Strolls at a relaxed pace suit him better than bikes and joggers whizzing past.

Could Obie Be Your Match?

Obie’s story is proof that with care and commitment, dogs can go from tough situations to thriving in forever homes. He’s eager to find a family that will continue showing him the love he deserves.

And shameless plug: fostering is what made his recovery possible—if you’ve ever thought about fostering, we’d love to have you join our team of volunteers!
