Volunteering
Colonial Newfoundland Rescue is an all-volunteer organization. Every foster, transport, application review, event, and fundraiser happens because people like you choose to give their time.
Whether you have a few hours or a special skill to share, we’d love to welcome you to the team helping Newfoundlands in need.

Want to know the moment a giant fluffy baby needs a home? Like and follow us on Facebook. That's where the news breaks, the updates land, and the Newf pics flow freely. 🐾
ⓕ Friends of Colonial Newfoundland Rescue
The unofficial hangout for CNR fosters, adopters, friends, family, supporters, Newf-friendly folks, and well, anyone else who wants to see lots of Newfs. Share the fun stuff, find out what's happening locally, and connect with people who get it — because not everyone understands why you need a dog that size. We do. It's a private group, we just need to make sure you can handle the drool before we let you in.
CNR got its start thanks to the Colonial Newfoundland Club, a regional club founded in 1986 and recognized by the Newfoundland Club of America. They've been championing the breed in our area for nearly 40 years — and we wouldn't exist without them.
ⓕ Friends of Colonial Newfoundland Club
The informal gathering spot for CNC members and Newf enthusiasts in our region. Connect with fellow fans of the breed, stay in the loop on club events, and share in the general appreciation for one of the best breeds out there (we think THE best, but, we're biased). This is a private group.
We're on Instagram too! It's mostly an excuse to post photos of very large, very good dogs.
