Morty is a 6-month-old, 83-pound Newfoundland puppy who came into rescue after being surrendered to a shelter. His previous family underestimated just how big he would get, and he spent far too much of his young life confined to a crate.

Now Morty is getting the chance to be a puppy and he is making up for lost time.

He is a big, goofy, energetic boy who loves people and wants to be wherever his family is. He already knows sit, walks fairly well on leash, and is very treat motivated, which should make continued training easier.

Morty appears to enjoy other dogs and is eager to play. Because he is already so large and enthusiastic, larger canine companions would likely be the best fit. He has not yet been evaluated with cats, and because of his size and puppy energy, we are looking for a home without toddlers.
